Holladay – A Holiday Beat Tape
I’m very excited to announce the release of my very first Christmas/Holiday beat tape entitled “Holladay”. Released via Bandcamp on December 11th, 2010. This album is full of firsts! This is my FIRST album or full length release since moving away from my long time music-Mecca college town. This is my FIRST time dabbling in the artistry of creating a highly-focused album. And in an attempt to answer all the requests I’ve received for years, this is my FIRST beat tape. (Almost) every track on the album is strictly instrumental, fitting the vibe of the holiday season making for jolly sounds and easy listening! AS a producer, this album was very fun to make. From digging, to programming, to making sure each song sounded.. well, Christmas-y!
Holladay is a 10 track Christmas focused album filled with a mixture or fully composed and programmed songs, to creative samples of your favorite Christmas tunes! The album is fun, and I really can’t wait to to share it with everyone.
I’ve been watching my friends in the industry releasing album after album for free online. Honestly, I can’t bring myself to do it. As much as I believe in getting my name out and increasing my fan base, I know that I cannot afford to make music for free. Since becoming an artist I have been faithful to the artist I enjoy by buying their music. Because of which, I am albums behind on some of my favorites because i refuse to download/share illegally. Haha~ So instead of falling into the game and releasing full projects for free. With that said, Holladay will be available for a donation on Bandcamp with a $1 minimum.
I hope that my true fans can appreciate my music enough to want to put down a dollar or two to purchase it. I appreciate all of the support thus far and anticipate bigger and better things for 2011!
So I encourage you to start the fire, grab some Christmas cookies, a cup of eggnog, and download the album when it drops from HERE. And after you’ve done that, buy a copy for your family and friends, you last minute shopper you!
Peace and Blessings from the jolliest producer you know,
Brother Shadrach
